In Reverse, victim and executioner overlap in a game of death and guilt, fiction and psychological violence, with an emotional crescendo that unfolds to the notes of the soundtrack signed by the producerMarco Korben Del Bene.

Synopsis: Giulia Montelli, 35 age, she is an investigative policewoman from Rome. Her boss sent her on a mission alone to a psychiatric clinic in central Italy to interrogate Matteo Muzzi, un serial killer in 36 years who is accused of repeated murders in Italy, Switzerland and France. The nickname of that Muzzi is "the blue knife killer" because he signed every crime with a blue knife planted in the victim's body. After his arrest which occurred a few months earlier in Italy, Muzzi was declared schizophrenic by psychiatrists and in fact not subject to criminal prosecution because he was incapable of understanding and will. But he would become prosecutable if he did what the Americans call Reverse, or a confession in a lucid state. Giulia's mission is therefore to obtain that Reverse, for Muzzi to be tried in a criminal court.
“Reverse is a very important film in my career as a director”explains Capece. “Filmed in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic, it was an important opportunity for me to get back to filming despite the various interminable lockdowns. After my trilogy of reflection composed by La Sculpture, SFashion and Black Dance, Reverse is the first of a new personal trilogy, that of sensation films. Moving from auteur films to those more dear to the public is a very important innovation for my career and to do so I could only choose a legal thriller full of twists and turns. French screenwriter Guillame Pichon has written a film that works and I decided to embrace the project without hesitation, surrounding myself with the usual wonderful people with whom I often make my films. Reverse's style could only be classic and old fashioned. Certo, as always happens in my films, there are several experimental reinterpretations of the genre and technique but in general the classical approach was the best solution to tell this story that has, especially in the ending, the flavor of the cinema of the seventies and eighties. As per recent custom, I also decided to dedicate this film to a great director in the history of cinema: in this case to the timeless Sidney Lumet”.
