From 8 to 11 October, on the occasion of the tenth edition of Internet Festival, the Pisan bartenders challenge each other with a shaker for Gusto Digitale – Cocktail Competition, to elect the best cocktail inspired by web connections and 10 years of IF. The overall score obtained by the popular jury will determine the winner (through a practical QRcode) and technical jury. Up for grabs a premium from 1.000 euro for the activity that will win the first place. Il contest, in fact, it was designed by the festival organization to support the city's economic fabric, in a moment of particular difficulty. Some of the most famous cocktail bars in Pisa are competing: Eleven Coffee (Chiara Gambacorti square 11), Shaker Bar (via Giovanni da Balduccio 2/1), ViaVai Cafè (via Rigattieri 2), Skyline American Bar (largo Ciro Menotti 8/9), Baribaldi (Garibaldi square 8).
The key word of the tenth edition of IF unleashes the bartenders' imagination, #Reset, as well as the path that has seen Pisa as the protagonist of the development of the Internet from the beginning to today. Tra icocktail that it will be possible to taste and vote for the whole week in the Pisan restaurantsHokety Pokety, futuristic drink with a slightly magical appearance (hence the name), con rum, Chinese black tea coconut milk and port (Eleven Coffee); Old Memories, unconventional and without distillates, but with a great atmosphere, with Biancosarti, Campari (also in powder form) and Chinotto Quaglia liqueur (Shaker Bar); Old Connection, an Old Fashioned that looks to the future, with artisan preparations, fruit and spices (ViaVai Cafè); #lookingLABELLAVITA, designed to disconnect from the frenetic pace of contemporary existence by mixing Aerstone Sea Cask Scotch whiskey 10 years and Japanese liquor HKB Hong-Kong baijiu, with a touch of vanilla and a splash of ginger beer (Skyline American Bar); Connection, with Ginepraio (gin pisano), grapefruit sour, pepper and angostura tonic, to remember the first Internet signal that met the world from Pisa (Baribaldi).
The technical jury will consist of Federico Bellanca, marketing specialist in the beverage sector; Marco Marchino Macelloni, bartender and owner of Franklin '33 in Lucca; Alessandro Ciampi, head barman at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Pisa.
