The flavors of Livorno on board a boat

Boat tours on the ditches and themed dinners: these are the ingredients of "Featured in the beautiful Livorno”. From June to October, a full calendar of events to discover the secrets of the city of Livorno and its flavors, starring the network of restaurants in Tuscany Showcase, the draft Region and Unioncamere for the promotion of excellence in the Tuscan table.
It will be the ship Marco Polo, the cooperative ITINERA, to lead participants on a journey through time, that always culminate with the current interpretation of Livorno kitchen by chef Showcase Tuscany. It starts on Thursday 5 June, with "The boat cacciuccato", hike through the channels; the meeting with the guide is to 19,30 the statue of 4 host. A fine tour, dinner of fish soup at the restaurant L'Ancora.
The 21 June, part of the "Taste of the art, the art of taste "sponsored by Showcase Tuscany and Confesercenti, "City, orchards and gardens to discover Livorno. A day in the museum of the sea ": walk to explore the city of Livorno. To 10 visit to the Museum of Natural History of the Mediterranean, then lunch in the park Gelabert by the Tuscany restaurant Showcase The Lobster. It continues the 3 July, with "Secrets, aromas and flavors of Venice ": boat ride through the old town. Visit a historic wine cellar and dinner at the seafood restaurant "Cantina Senese".
The 3 August, "Effect boat", walk between bridges and canals, to close with a tasty appetizer Enoteca Fort San Pietro. The wine bar will also be the landing point of the appointment of the 5 September, "The taste of Livorno underground" to discover hidden passages and corridors.
The 6 September is back "Taste of Art", the draft Showcase Tuscany that combines culinary excellence at shows and museums, with a guided tour of the vegetable garden of the Museum of Natural History. There will be a workshop for children and adults to create a fragrance with Mediterranean essences. Dinner at the Museum by the restaurant "sea egg". There will also be an after-dinner special and romantic: will look at the stars with telescopes of the museum.
Last meeting the 3 October to discover the secrets of the old fortress and the Medici, Dinner at the restaurant Nose lefty.
