Volterragusto edition 2014

Turns off the top ten candles Volterragusto, show that due to the quality of its offering over the years has been able to establish itself as one of the underlying events of the Tuscan landscape. Responding once again very successful formula itinerant, Saturday 25 and Sunday, 26 October, and yet FROM FRIDAY’ 31 October to Sunday 2 November, some of the squares and the most evocative glimpses of the splendid Etruscan city will become the frame of the exhibition spaces.
The absolute star will, as always, XVII EXHIBITION OF WHITE TRUFFLE, and the now inevitable next set of local specialties, through wine, oil, cheese, meats and chocolate narrated directly from those who produce them.
But Volterragusto keeps faith as has become tradition to its size event designed for the whole family thanks to the increasingly rich calendar of side events. Among all the expected and picturesque "PALIO OF CACI Volterra" (Sunday 26 October, hours 15), inserted in the albo regional challenge of "pageants" where Contradas of Volterra will have to tumble along the route of the Via Franceschini one cheese in the shortest possible time; and yet the performance of "GROUP HISTORY, SBANDIERATORI AND MUSICIANS OF THE CITY Volterra ", in the program Sabato 1 November, pm 15,30 in Piazza dei Priori.
Among the highlights will be renewed this year the delivery of the literary prize JARRO (Saturday 1 November, hours 18, Great Council Hall of the Palazzo dei Priori), intended for those who, in the professional, has distinguished himself for his work spreading the culture of good food: This year will be the turn of ROBERTO Rabachino, journalist, sommelier and writer. The award ceremony will be preceded by the delivery by the Association Tartufai high Valdicecina recognition to the TRUFFLE YOUNGEST OF ITALY: Yuri Balletta, fourteen year old boy in Volterra.
To THE DURATION OF THE EVENT also been reported: "TASTE OF ARTISTS - TYPICAL PRODUCTS OF VOLTERRANO", walk to the discovery of short chain volterrana with main stage in the Pinacoteca Civica Chiostra;
and then again appointments with "WINE IN THE LIMELIGHT" (25-26 October and 1-2 November, pm 15 pm 19, Foyer of the Teatro Persio Flacco), organized and curated by the FISAR - Delegation of Historic Volterra and dedicated to wine production area with tasting of the products of short chain Volterrano; "WOW - CIGAR TOSCANO" (Sunday 2 November, pm 15, hall of the Palace of Justice of the Peace’ Priori), cigar tasting accompanied by Tuscan wines, beer and chocolate; "RICOISTRUIAMO MURA Forti" (Basements Gallery, Palazzo Solaini Minnucci), Curated Group Photo GIAN and Art School Volterra and much more!
