"The Italian car design of the '50s and '60s" at the Forte Belvedere in Florence

Staged in an extraordinary location as the Forte Belvedere, The exhibition offers the public sixteen vintage cars from the Collection Lopresto, dedicated to the Italian built cars in a single copy or in extremely limited editions. The Collection is Lopresto, for this reason, the most important at the national level and among the most prestigious in the world.
In mostra, a selection of unique pieces: masterpieces of design 50s and 60s, the golden age of Italian automobile production when some cars were built yet in a traditional way and based on the expressed wishes of customers. These icons of style, to show the evolution of design and technology, will be joined by some valuable historic cars of the '30s.
The sixteen design masterpieces on display belong to Corrado Lopresto, architect by profession and passion for collector, with an honors done over 150 class victories in international competitions and well 35 Best in Show (best cars of all categories). Lopresto is the only collector to have won three times the Gold Cup competition Elegance Villa d'Este. Another achievement he is proud of is being able to win four times, with four different cars, the class in which he was writing at Pebble Beach (California), considered the most important concours d'elegance for classic cars in the world.
Among the cars on display: un’Alfa Romeo 2500 Sport Touring Carrozzata del 1939, a Lancia Aprilia Touring coachwork, an Isotta Fraschini 8A SS Castagna's 1930, one of the Lancia Florida 1955 and a Lancia Aurelia of Vignale 1953.
The exhibition "The Italian car design of the 50s and 60s" will be open free to the public until Sunday 22 June (with orario 10.00- 20.00).
