Da Domenico 30 September until Saturday 13 October will be on display at the Cafe RCMP Historical works presented by 18 finalists of the second edition of Lanci Prize for Art. For two weeks the young artists who use as a means of expression painting and graphics will be featured in the exhibition halls of the historic cafes that for years hosted Amedeo Lanci and his friends.
Saturday 13 October pm 17.30 They will be awarded to the top three prizes: respectively 3.000, 1.500 and 1.000 euro in materials for art donated by Zecchi Fine Arts.
The winning works will remain on display until 20 October.
The participating artists, selected by a jury chaired by Anna Laffont are: Jason Balducci, Paolo Sara, Miguel Angel Citi, Nicholas Coco, Marco Cocchi, Carlo Costanzelli, Diego Granato, Henrik Hjort, Alessandro Paolucci, Peter Shepherd, Pier Paolo FEW, Pamela Radino, Valentina Rossi, Lucy Simon, Cristelle Sorrentino, Alessandra Tavella, Paola Trussoni, Leonardo Zecchi.
The Lanci Prize for Art It was devised by the Amedeo Lanci as a tribute to the deceased in January 2011 and strongly backed by his wife Anna Laffont, who is also president of the association of, under the patronage of the Municipality and the Province of Florence and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence.
The intention is to continue the work of Amedeo Lanci and ideals of passion, challenge and strictness that the teacher tried to pass on to his young students of the Academy of Fine Arts, teaching them that the experience of art must be approached with enthusiasm, which it is always important to test and apply the utmost rigor to creative flair.
