"Live Portraits" by photographer Stefano Mazzali

It will take place tomorrow, Friday 4 and Saturday 5 April from 17 to 20 in the spaces of Palazzo Chigi Zondadari, Via Banchi di Sotto 42/44 a Siena, la performance “Portraits Live"Dell'artista Stephen Mazzali organized by the gallery Zak Project Space.

An event that is part of the program of the exhibition "Identity" going up to the 30 April, cured Gaia Pasi and Walter Guadagnini which brings together the works of four artists, techniques and different sensitivities, address the common theme identity.

Mazzali, Bolognese photographer, realize tomorrow and Saturday to all visitors of the exhibition or even to passers-by who so request, una fotografia del volto sovrapponendo il ritratto di fronte con quello di lato. Tutte le fotografie realizzate saranno poi esposte al pubblico.

The other artists involved in the collective are the young Sicilian artist Salvatore Difranco ( winner of the Premio Arte Mondadori 2009), which has created an installation ( Disposable portraits) composite 90 faces drawn on toilet paper, a material that is very porous and difficult but that Di Franco faced with talent. La Padovana Cristina Gori presented instead an installation, titled "Vault Over" where the artist becomes the interpreter of a mental and metaphorical path that connects the city of Venice to the Chinese city of Xi'an. Cristina Gori uses his image, his face covered with clay, to create a match between the two cultures ( Western and Eastern Europe), and identify with one of the most popular and representative of the history of China: the terracotta army. With his portraits arranged around a book of silk, offers a personal view on the Silk Road through the juxtaposition and layering of the two cultures and their stories. Infine l’artista toscano ( born in Vinci) Fabiano Mattiolo has created three jobs ( Idol title) dealing with the path of identity between drawing and sculpture. The performance of Stephen Mazzali will be repeated in the days 24, 25, 26 April from hours 17:00 to 20:00, The exhibition is free entry.
