Will be held until 23 August 2013 to the Piaggio museum in Pontedera exhibition Le Rotte della Pittura – sessant’anni di astrazione dalla collezione Garau, organized by Garau Collection and the Piaggio Foundation, of draft Alberto Rigoni. The exhibition is sponsored by the Navy of the Italian Republic and the Foundation Zappettini, as well as by the Tuscany Region and the City of Pontedera.
The exhibition features approximately 50 representative works of Italian figurative painting does not over a period of time ranging from World War II to today: then addition sixty years of non-iconic painting, but also iconic and with forays into neighboring areas (sculpture, kinetic art, photography, light installations, etc.). It is a selection of belonging works a Garau collection – composite 150 just works and started less than 30 years ago by the passion and patience Admiral Sergio Garau. Le Rotte della Pittura It offers a very wide collection of Masters who have marked the history of the second Italian twentieth century in the field of abstract painting. To name a few: Carla Accardi, Antonio Calderara, Enrico Castellani, Piero Dorazio, Giulio Turcato.
