From 13 April of 20 July 2014 the Lugano Museum d'Art presents the sample Jean Arp, Osvaldo Licini, an unprecedented dialogue that reveals similarities between visual and poetic two great artists of the twentieth century: Alsatian sculptor - Swiss adoption - Jean Arp (Strasburgo 1886-Basilea 1966) and the Italian painter Osvaldo Licini (Monte VIDON Corrado, Firm, 1894-1958), between the protagonists, respectively, artistic center of the debate-European and Italian in the first half of the twentieth century.
Enrich the exhibition of works by some of the leading exponents of the art of the twentieth century: Matisse, Modigliani, Clover, Kandinsky e altri.
Anticipating the philosophy that will own the new cultural center LAC (Lugano Art and Culture), whose opening is scheduled for 2015, The exhibition is built around the concept of dialogue and discussion, placing itself in continuity with the exhibition opened in 2013 Klee con-Melotti. It is in fact the identity and vocation of the city of Lugano, traditional crossroads between Switzerland and Italy, Nord and Sud Europe, be a place for discussion and meeting between figures from different sources in order to highlight common characteristics and sensitivity. It fits precisely in this area that the important link Arp joined the Canton Ticino, where he stayed several times at
from 1917 and where he spent the last years.
