The Race of Alcide, now in its fourth edition, has become a classic regularity of competitions for historic cars nationwide. A path over 650 Km, divided in three days, which crosses that part of Tuscany along the historic centers of major towns: San Gimignano, Greve in Chianti, Monteriggioni, Porto Ercole, Castelnuovo Berardenga.
The formula for three days, launched last year, has meant that the demonstrations would put it to the attention of an audience more demanding and more skilled in this type of competition: In fact, this year we have the presence of well-known personalities from the world of motorsport vintage usual to investments in the Mille Miglia and other events super titrated. Outstanding among these: Giordano Mozzi, top drivers of excellence as well as winning the Mille Miglia 2011, placed second and fourth editions 2012 and 2013, winning a countless number of other competitions. Mozzi ha, among other things honored with his presence at the official presentation of the event which was held in April in the New Center AUDI Poggibonsi, in which he also presented the car with which the Mille Miglia race 2014: a beautiful Lancia Lambda Spider Casaro the 1928, except cars which participated at the right of the MM 1928.
The Race of Alcide 2014 has entered a path that addentrerà in the area of Brunello, touching the towns of Montalcino and Buonconvento, also enjoy doing the Crete Senesi, along the road of Radi and Ville di Corsano.
Inside the Race on three further competitions with awards and rankings:
– Grand Prix of Chianti, which will be played on timed tests of Villarosa, Our Lady of Brolio, e Montefiridolfi.
– Trophy Macchi latest 9 timed to 1000/sec. in honor of the well-known collector and pilot Val d'Elsa Bruno Macchi, the winner of which will be up 91 bottles of excellence.
– MG CUP - exclusive ranking for the cars of the famous British brand MG which will be held on all 74 prove .
