Charity auction in favor of “ARTISTS FOR THE ZI Gazette”

The project "Artists for Guri I Zi"Promosso of Idee Migranti Onlus thanks to the support of JCI Capital Ltd, was founded with the goal of developing the female of small businesses in the textile sector and to establish a social enterprise run of the women in the homonymous village Albanian. The project provides an income opportunity to the women of the Commonwealth of Guri I Zi – town of 12 thousand inhabitants in the province of Shkodra and seeks to promote the ancient textile tradition Albanian.
To support the project started in 2006 and which currently involves 53 women, for most of them is the only source of family income, the next 14 May at 18.00 at Sotheby’s (Your Broggi, 19 - Milan), Elena Galateri di Genola, President of Ideas Migrants Onlus, Presenters un'asta benefica.
Will be sold in the auction 50 works by 39 artists who have made and donated 50 works. The collection sees the presence of artists, designer e photography, known nationally and internationally, by Enzo Cucchi, Giovanni Gastel, Venera Kastrati, Maurizio Mocchetti, Anila Rubiku Tarshito collects and unpublished works is carried out directly on fabrics typical of the area, is extracted from its creative repertoire.
The Collection Guri I Zi, curata da Ida Chicca Terracciano, consists of paintings, drawings, photographs and fine art prints, formats and different solutions that sometimes reveal, accentuate, camouflaged the fabric characteristics, sometimes they hide them or even cancel the recognizability. And 'they created a production of paintings, of banners and large paintings whose wealth of images are spread apart between narrative solutions of confidential intimacy, tribute to the loneliness of women weavers, family intimacy, and then propose through the exciting Easter delicacy of sparrows or landscapes.
