Between the Directorate of the Uffizi Gallery and Pitti Immagine Discovery It was signed, in the Ballroom of the Palazzo Pitti Costume Gallery, The convention for the three-year program of events dedicated to contemporary fashion, to be held in the Florentine palace spaces. The collaboration is aimed at the enhancement of the Costume Gallery, which will become "Museum of Fashion and Costume”.
With the photo exhibition Karl Lagerfeld officially it opens a strategic collaboration season between the Uffizi and the group headed to the Florence Centre for Italian Fashion (CFMI).
Andrea Dowels, President of the Florence Centre for Italian Fashion and by a week also appointed President of Pitti Discovery, about that: “We are proud to start a new collaboration with the Uffizi Gallery and thus emphasize the role that our Group and Florence international play for the promotion of a modern fashion culture“.

On the occasion of the 90th Pitti Immagine Uomo, the Florence Centre for Italian Fashion organizes the pre-opening of the international fashion exhibition scheduled day 13 June 2016 with an evening dedicated to the relationship between art, fashion and entertainment. On this occasion, Florence Centre for Italian Fashion will present to the city of Florence and its international guests, the design of new lighting of the facade of Pitti Palace.
During the evening it will be offered the city a concert 12 pianos online, open free to the public. The ensemble performance "Twelve Piano" will take place in front of the facade of Pitti Palace and, the highlight of the evening, there will be a solo by Maestro Giovanni Allevi.
