On the occasion of the Internazionali BNL of Italy 2014, will take place at the Casa Armas, Playground, shows a laboratory, edited by Bartholomew and Mary Pietromarchi Alicata, lasting a week, in which four artists - among the most interesting of the new contemporary art scene - will carry out site-specific interventions and workshops open to the public, both inside and outside of the space.
The four artists are Playground Gabriele De Santis, Ruth Proctor, Joseph Stampone and Sten and Lex who have carried out projects specially designed for the occasion on which work is particularly interactive and relational. The works will then be the subject of workshops for children and teenagers from 5 to 18 years during the period of the Internazionali BNL d'Italy.
I LABORATORI
The workshops organized in collaboration with the artists aim to bring to life a time of learning and growth through a dynamic and creative approach to contemporary art. Each laboratory will be built to facilitate the interaction between the audience and the artists, called to discuss issues related not only to their personal artistic research, but also on the theme of sport, thus showing the strong relationship between art and sport.
The activities designed from the works in the exhibition include the use of various artistic techniques, the use of non-traditional materials and experimentation with new modes of composition.
