The first The Bridge boutique opens its doors in Padua. To the numero 34 of via Santa Lucia, in the heart of the elegant historic center of the Venetian city, the artisanal leather goods brand founded further takes over 50 years ago in Florence and acquired in 2017 from the Piquadro Group.
With the Padua shop, The Bridge porta a 13 the number of its boutiques and inaugurates the new store format created by the Florentine architecture studio Cipiuelle. The artisan workshop is the basis of the new furnishing concept that, in geometries and details, it alludes to the drums and work tools of master leather workers. The materials and colors are a reminder of the places of the tannery and its architecture, declined in a contemporary key and reinterpreted with a more sophisticated and architectural language: the industrial geometries of the furnishing elements suggest the lines of the iron gears of the drums, just as the shades of gray of the casing are intended to be elements of a poetics of experience that characterizes the very nature of leather, which acquires its uniqueness over time.
In this warm and enveloping environment like the Tuscan leather of the iconic The Bridge bags, on the inauguration day it will be possible to observe a craftsman at work and discover the art of Florentine leather processing. All customers who attended will receive a handmade sachet under their arms.
