The Journey collection by Golden Goose takes on new meanings, as he looks to different horizons for the upcoming new season. For this collection, the brand has embarked on a completely new path, heading in an unexplored direction and wondering what the best way to travel was. And the answer was simple: through dreams.
This unique and fantastic atmosphere becomes the leitmotif that runs through the campaign and the collection, starting from the color palette made of light and ethereal shades, until reaching evocative and suggestive scenarios presented in the campaign itself. The collection is divided into three episodes and drops that will be delivered at different times during the season. Each of them is characterized by a specific dream setting, giving rise to a journey that celebrates love and the beauty of life, made of simple but irreplaceable moments.
Corresponding to the holiday period, the first drop revolves around one of Golden Goose's core values: the extended family, built by each of us and by the people we love. Gathered in an elegant villa, the characters in the campaign and the products themselves explore two different situations: a more intimate one, with a welcoming atmosphere that recalls the domestic environment, and a more social one, made of new experiences and celebrations with all your loved ones. As for familiarity, the inspiration comes from furnishing elements, such as the carpet patterns that are reflected in some of the jacquard sweaters. For the more social dimension, the brand has reinterpreted everyday clothing items, transforming them into more eclectic pieces, like the jacquard cardigan now covered in crystals, the corduroy suit now made of a viscose and cotton blend so as to make it slightly draped and shiny and, finally, jogging trousers in a soft fabric embellished with sequins.
Another fundamental aspect of life is travel, seen here as the spontaneity and freedom to capture unexpected moments, semplicemente on the road. This is the inspiration behind thesecond drop: improvise a trip without having a specific destination in mind, while collecting different stories and memories. In the collection this aspect is reflected in the use of patchwork, as seen in a pair of canvas shorts made in a mix of slightly different colors, in a fringed cardigan made up of a collage of stitching techniques and in a short coat with a mix of linings inside.
In third drop, the collection focuses on another aspect of life: nature and time spent outdoors, reaching the desired destination and immersing yourself in nature itself. The blue of the sea becomes the background for the clothing, characterized by different shades of off-white and ecru and by materials that are left almost raw, selecting 3D yarns and fabrics that recall the roughness of the textures of wild nature. As seen in the women's sand-colored cotton jacquard dress with a light brown pattern and tonal 3D graphics featuring the brand name – the same pattern also used on an off-white draped fabric in a men's pajamas. The more formal garments are then mixed with others inspired by the seaside lifestyle: a crochet sweater with hood and crossed details in linen yarn, a long jersey dress in a washed green and the classic khaki chinos cut up and transformed into a pair of shorts.
