The ALICE by Temperley collection has grown up and so has the ALICE woman. She looks to the line for Temperley day wear pieces that complement the special pieces in Temperley London, offering a synergy between the collections.
For Pre Fall 2014 the ALICE collection is inspired by Alice’s own wardrobe filled with Temperley staples of years gone by; the signature tux jackets, fitted waist coat, white shirts and pencil skirts which have been brought into pre fall to create a clean and contemporary offering of neat shapes and sharp stretch tailoring.
The collection features new outerwear styles including full length coats and capes that form dramatic and striking silhouettes. Wool blend stretch tailoring is inspired by the classic tuxedo, the Alice Jacket and Alice Jumpsuit offer a refined after-dark look with sharp satin pin tuck details and silk lapels.
Texture plays a significant role within the collection, from the Rossi Skirt with its grois grain appliqué, to the delicate folds of the Rose Pleated Dress which creates interesting and playful shapes. The lace of the Fleur story was inspired by a vintage lace swatch that was recreated, echoing the mainline collection.
Signature leather adds to the mix, the Roleaux Jacket features a pin-tuck trim. The easy femininity of the ALICE line translates into a variety of full length dresses; the gold embellishment of the Long Phoenix Dress is effortlessly luxurious and the short hem of the Long Angelina
Dress with its full length sheer overlay flirtatiously reveals the legs.
Pre Fall offers up colour palette of blacks and creams that contrast with vibrant pops of bold print in fuchsia and teal. The print of the season combines a fun mix of leopard and lemons that developed spontaneously from wallpaper swatches lying next to each other in the design studio.
Prices for stretch tailoring start at £195, long eveningwear starts at £495 and the cocktail dresses start at £325. The Pre Fall 14 collection is available to buy in stores and online from May 2014.
