BLUE "is a fascinating journey through the works of some of the most important representatives of international contemporary art who have found in blue and gold

Monsieur Martis il Trentodoc Rosé de Noir Brut Millesimato. È così Mr. Martis, Monsieur Martis il Trentodoc Rosé de Noir Brut Millesimato 2017, last born in the Maso Martis house to celebrate the thirtieth year since the foundation of the winery founded by Antonio Stelzer with his then girlfriend Roberta Giuriali.
A Classic Method made only with Pinot Meunier grapes, the only one in Italy produced with this vine which is normally one of the three grapes that make up the classic Champagne cuvée, together with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
A label, just released for the third year (the 2017), which joins the award-winning Riserva Madame Martis in the top of the Trentino winery's range.
This is why Monsieur Martis goes against every cliché: It has a masculine name (Monsieur in French means sir) but it's rosé, a style that in bubbles is often associated with feminine tastes, «ed he's a toy boy – jokes Roberta Giuriali Stelzer – because he's younger than 5 years compared to Madame».

The word Meunier in French it means miller and refers to the characteristic fluff present on the underside of the leaves, which thus appear to be covered in flour. It is a grape that germinates late and ripens before the others, so it represents a kind of natural shelter in the event of problematic harvests., a sort of "insurance" also useful for balancing the assemblies. Making wine on its own and even in rosé is a challenge: «I think it is an original product – explains Roberta – we tried to enhance everything we had in the company without copying or imitating, and interpret in an original way what nature has offered us. Madame and Monsieur Martis are two evidently different classical methods, who represent me and my husband well and, come noi, they complement each other».

From the first vintage of Monsieur Martis (the 2015; are 46 the months of bottle aging) they were just produced 750 bottles, by 2016 you have risen to altitude 850 and for the 2017 were released 2.160 bottles. A rosé with a beautiful pale pink color with orange reflections, the nose expresses notes of red fruits, shores, raspberries, cherry, combined with some spicy and smoky touches, sensations that are also found on the palate, where the perlage is fine and persistent. Monsieur Martis costs approx 65 euros in the wine shop.
