In September 2025 the Formosa tailoring celebrates his 60 years of activity and in fact hand, an important milestone that highlights not only that tailoring resists the passing of fashions, but which knows how to evolve while remaining faithful to the artisan tradition that makes it unique in the world. From 1965 Formosa has represented a point of reference for those seeking perfection in details, the quality of the fabrics and the comfort of a tailor-made suit. “My father Mario was only eight years old when he dreamed of working in a tailor's shop” he remembers today Gennaro Formosa, at the helm of the atelier. “From that dream was born a vocation that has spanned over half a century, training alongside legendary masters such as Tamburrini and Roberto Combattente. I'm not a tailor like him, but I am the guardian of his legacy: I carry forward his name and his vision of Neapolitan elegance”.
It is a tailor's shop that brings with it the essence of the city: human warmth, hospitality, the love of beauty, but also the ability to look to the future without ever forgetting the roots. “Today many young people are approaching this profession” adds Gennaro. “We try to pass on to them all the knowledge we can. When these three dimensions harmonize, something truly unique takes shape”.
Every dress, every jacket, each pant is the result of hours of meticulous work, combining the art of hand cutting with "that know-how" which is the key to success.
