After the gift of a work by Giorgio de Chirico and one of Franco Mazzucchelli by Gucci at the Milan Triennale, the idea of dedicating something unique to the two great Masters of Italian art was formed. Not through a journey of works, but based on the dreamlike and poetic vein of the creations of both. Thus was born an exhibition that develops between the square of Pietrasanta and the Piero bathroom in Forte dei Marmi. E proprio qui, to the famous establishment, took place last 25 the inauguration in July.
A large installation by Mazzucchelli in the swimming pool was the fulcrum around which everything revolved. Before getting there, along the cabins, a journey with impactful chromatic works and, finally, a De Chirico.
A sort of dialogue between two great artists, differenti tra loro, but both playful and dreamers.
The exhibition continues in the center of small Tuscan Athens, in the window of a bank, where an impressive work in blue PVC is exhibited: a clear reference to the waves that merge like two seas.
Impeccable host there Secci Gallery which offered an exclusive evening, with art as the absolute protagonist. In fact, visitors are not just spectators, but they become actors because they were asked to write their own work “mystery” and “bathrooms”: personal memories that give new life to the work itself through the words and sensations of many. A sharing that will allow us to create other works at the end of the summer, as this form will be dismantled and transformed into individual individual inflatable paintings. A tribute to the famous "Abbandoni" that Mazzucchelli created in the sixties: imposing inflatable sculptures created and left in public spaces for passers-by to use with a view to a concept of usability and sharing in art.
