This publication, published in two Italian and English, It born from a partnership between Opera di Santa Croce e la Advancing Women Artist Foundation (AWA) and is dedicated to all women over the centuries they have been buried in Holy Cross.
Female figures with their lives have left an indelible mark on history, culture, art: the illegitimate daughter of Galileo rebel lover of Vittorio Alfieri, da Charlotte Bonaparte alla famosa pioniera Florence Nightingale.
They intervened: Stefania Fuscagni – President of the Work of the Holy Cross, Linda Falcone – Director of AWA and editor of the volume, e Jane Fortune – Presidente dell’AWA, awarded last June with the Emmy Award for the documentary based on his book “Invisible Women: Forgotten Artists of Florence”.
