Beverly Pepper all’Ara Pacis

Are on display in Rome, at Ara Pacis Museum, from today 3 December 2014 to the 15 March 2015 the sculptures of the great American artist Beverly Pepper, in the exhibition Beverly Pepper Ara Pacis promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Culture, Creativity and Artistic Promotion - Superintendence of Cultural Heritage Capitolina; Embassy of the United States of America with the essential contribution of the Fondazione Roma - Art - Museums, known for his sensitivity to art in its various manifestations.
The idea of ​​the installation of the sculptures at the Ara Pacis was born architect Paul Luccioni and is curated by the art critic Roberta Semeraro. An extraordinary project made possible, in the organizational, thanks to the Association RO.SA.M. with Zètema Culture Project and, for technical aspects, thanks to the architect and the engineer Eugenio Isabella Ciracì Altamura Francesco Mancinelli SEIPRO of engineering services and design.
With Beverly Pepper (1922) for the first time the perimeter area of ​​the Ara Pacis Museum is offered as a stage for a major exhibition of sculptures. The artist has devoted years to public sculpture and environmental art and, after large urban spaces such as Forte Belvedere in Florence, il Palais Royale di Parigi e Central Park e Park Avenue a New York, returns to Rome, his city's heart.
The four monumental works, from the 4 e i 5 feet tall and made of Cor-ten steel, represent moments of reflection for visitors who will have the opportunity to capture prospects, volumes, depth and, not last, light, in a magnificent combination of a glorious past of architectural styles and the present of contemporary sculpture.
Inside the Ara Pacis Museum will be exhibited 5 iron sculptures, part of the series in Curvae Curvae exposed to both the Marlborough Gallery in New York and London.
L'arte di Beverly Pepper is now a permanent part of the landscape of reality different environmental, as the headquarters of AT Amphisculpture&T in New Jersey o Palingenesis, at the headquarters of Credit Suisse in Zurich. Throughout the exhibition the public will have the opportunity, by reservation, to participate in a guided tour of the exhibition with the curator and his collaborators.
From mid-December, at the Museum bookshop, will be available the documentary of the exhibition and the catalog produced by MAAP "Beverly Pepper Ara Pacis" published by The Ori Publishers Contemporanei by Paola Gribaudo with photographs of Gianfranco Gorgons and the critical contributions of Anna Imposing, Superintendent of Historical and Artistic Heritage of Lazio, and Gianluca Martians, Director of Palazzo Collicola – Museum of Visual Arts in Spoleto.
